2027 Tuber Sale Info
UPDATE:
Thank you to all our customers for supporting our small family farm! We decided to take a year off from tuber sales in winter/spring of 2026. To stay informed about our 2027 tuber sale, sign up to our email list at the bottom of the page.
Bulk Discounts
We sometimes experience an abundance of tuber production in certain varieties. Such a wealth of tubers allows us to offer bulk discounts! Be sure to check each variety for quantity options. These will continue to be added/updated in the days leading up to the sale opening.
Shipping Information
We ship tubers in April as weather permits to ensure they do not freeze in transit.
You will receive an order confirmation by email after placing an order. A subsequent shipping notification with tracking information will follow once your order has shipped.
Unfortunately, we cannot ship outside the United States at this time. We hope to serve our international friends in the future!
Shipping Rates
Tubers will be shipped using USPS Priority Mail.
Rates for 2027 shipping will be published here as we get closer to the sale.
Combined Shipping
We combine shipping for multiple orders. Excess charges are refunded when orders are shipped. This offer is available until the end of March.
We hope this will benefit our customers in multiple ways. We understand that it is common to spot more desired varieties after an initial purchase, but large additional shipping charges can be a deterrent. Also, we typically restock the store later in the season after verifying the condition of our tubers in storage, so more opportunities may be available for varieties that were previously sold out. Make those additional purchases with assurance that shipping costs will stay reasonable.
Farm Pickup
If you would like to pick up your order from the farm, please select this option at checkout to avoid shipping fees.
Local pickup is available in April at our farm in Rohrersville, MD. Further details will be communicated by email to those who choose this option. The pickup date for 2027 is TBD. For pick-up orders placed after this date, please contact us to schedule a time to retrieve your order.
Sales Tax
Sales tax is added for orders with a state of Maryland point of delivery.
Guarantees
All tubers sold by Valley Ridge Farm are grown and divided here on the farm. Our plants are never sprayed or amended with any toxic herbicides or pesticides.
When purchasing from us, you will receive individual tubers from plants that have been closely inspected and show no signs of disease.
We guarantee our tubers to be viable with at least one eye (growth point). We also guarantee that they will be true to the variety purchased. Please contact us within 5 days of receiving tubers if you are concerned with their arrival condition. We have an October 1st deadline to contact us (with photos) if you believe you received the wrong variety.
Valley Ridge Farm is not liable for any damage or loss resulting from improper care or weather conditions.
Please note: Sometimes tubers are not very pretty, though perfectly viable. Such tubers may be included in orders as dictated by inventory. This does NOT mean we will send tubers with broken necks, rot, disease, or too small to contain enough energy to grow.
Purchasing Alert
Please be aware that items in your cart are not reserved until checkout is fully complete and an email confirmation sent. It is possible for an items to sell out and "disappear" from your cart while you are browsing or even during the checkout process. This is an issue which is beyond our control and dictated by our web platform. Some varieties of limited quantity or high demand have the potential to sell out rapidly. To help mitigate this, there are purchase limits on certain varieties to ensure multiple people are able to obtain them. These limits will be indicated in the product title and are per household per season.
Upon Delivery
Please open packages immediately to inspect all tubers. Please follow the suggested guidelines on our Tuber Care & Growing Tips page, either planting your tubers promptly or storing them in appropriate conditions until planting is possible.
THANK YOU for your support!
